Little-Known ways to Plunger Pump

LITTLE-KNOWN WAYS TO PLUNGER PUMP

Piston and plunger pumps utilize a mechanism that generates a back-and-forth movement along a specific axis, often achieved through rotation. This reciprocating motion creates pressure in a cylinder or working barrel, which drives the movement of gas or fluid through the pump.

A plunger pump is a positive displacement pump that generates pressure to move fluids or gases through reciprocating motion, typically achieved through rotation. The pump is driven by an electric or internal combustion motor, and its power take-off mechanism can be an elastic couple, a V-belt drive, or a shaft for burning engines. The plunger pump features a compact design, direct access to suction and discharge valves, and interchangeable steel valves that ensure easy maintenance. The plungers are constructed using ceramic oxide to reduce wear and extend their lifespan, and they can be replaced on-site without special tools. The pump is reliable and has a long life, making it ideal for continuous cycle mode. The product range includes plunger pumps and high-pressure package systems for various applications, including Cleaning heat exchangers, pipes, and vessels, steel surface cleaning, and rust removal. The plunger pump also applies to subsurface pumps and reverses osmosis units for seawater desalination plants.

The plunger pumps, designed and produced to produce smooth operation in continuous cycle mode, are reliable, low maintenance resolution aimed to provide longwall with hydraulic power.

The robust pump unit serves to quiet continuous operation with the best performance wherever the pump unit is placed – in a longwall or at the pump station. Typically the team is skid-mounted on the subframe of the flange-mounted prime mover or support-mounted.

The pump plungers are actuated by the forged rotating shaft supported by spherical roller bearings; the crankshaft is driven using the double-helical wheel, which reduces the amplitude and improves efficiency.

The compact design of the pump body ensures direct access to the suction and discharge valves with no need to dismantle the plunger or pump body, therefore providing simple maintenance. The suction and discharge valves are identical, interchangeable, and made from special steel.

Using the complex ceramic oxide for the plunger construction reduced the wear and tear considerably and extended the life at a similar time. The plungers may be replaced at the site without any special tools. In case of an oil seal housing leak, liquid flows to the suction chamber, minimizing the fluid loss.
