I already told a few of you about it but I will explain.
Some time ago, Sandra came up with the idea of doing something to allow us to make cheese more often because we cannot keep up with the increasing demand.
Building a traditional creamery would be out of our reach. It demands lots of time and money.
So, she thought that maybe something mobile could be more realistic.
And it is.
Normally, she is the one with the brilliant ideas (mostly right ones) and I'm the executor. Team work, right?
After lots of research and discussion.....
the Travelling Cheesery was a real project!!!
This will help us with our day to day activities plus will let us to do some educational work taking the creamery to schools, fairs, shows and even be a model for other dairy farmers that could add some more value to they milk without a very large investment!
Sandra works really good researching. She found and apply for a grant, the Leonard-Mobley Small Farm Grant Fund and between 32 other projects our was the awarded!
That amount of money is a nice starter but just a fraction of the total needed.
For that reason we have launched a Kickstarter Campaign.
I know that with the help of our customers, friends and actually the whole community we will make it to the goal.
