Experience the Thai Royalty at Benjarong Restaurant in Dubai

A person with wanderlust always has mustard seeds under their feet. Apart from traveling, some specific individuals are passionate about exploring food and places as well. I am such a person who is a foodie and is excited about trying new mouthwatering foods that mark the existence of that place. ’Benjarong’ is an authentic Thai restaurant that allows an exquisite and lip-smacking buffet to satisfy the raging appetite. Not only the food but the view also takes away your breath – the captivating skyline paired with the Royal Thai Cuisine reflects the royalty and legacy of Old Thailand. I reached there during the Lunch hours, and the location was on the twenty-fourth floor of Dustin Thani. The restaurant claims that King Rama IV’s Royal halls inspire their décor. They are very cautious about the hospitality and the palette they provide.

I was greeted conventionally and warmly by the staffs. The buffet always draws attention, but I thought trying out a-la-carte would help me gain familiarity with the authentic flavors. There is a dish called ‘Koong Pad Med Mamuang’ which is a Thai style stir-fried shrimp tossed with cashew nuts and vegetables in a strange mix of spices. The first bite of it was heavenly. The shrimps are so tenderly cooked that it melts in the mouth and takes you to Thailand royalties in your imaginations. The classical Thai musicians add up to the authenticity of the unique dining experience.

More specifically, Fridays are the best to visit the area, as on Friday the lunch segment starts with an embellished dim-sum section, an Italian section, an Arabic section, and some all-time favorite English plates along with its specialties. Now, coming on to the buffet section, many remarkable and appetizing recipes were present- I tried “tom yum po taek” which is the authentic version of the ‘Tom Yum’ soup that we had all our life. But obviously, this was the best according to me. The flavors were hearty and earthy, that adds all the warmth that is desired to make someone travel time and places.

The next dish added on to my preferred List is the “gaam po phad pong Karee,” which is a dish made with tender crab meat with just the right balance of spices, mouthwatering crab pieces along with little crab claws which absorb the flavors so well that hardly anyone would dare resist it.

Visiting a Royal Thai restaurant means trying out Red Thai Curry or Green Thai Curry with hand-made noodles, and I ordered both. With the glimpse of Burj Khalifa, I experienced the extravagance of the situation and sipped it down in small draughts. I captured the whole case or rather each moment of it in my eyes, and I would cherish it forever.

Who could have considered that the place of crude gold and petroleum can offer unrefined flavors in foods as well? Who could have thought the area that smells of spices and Sumac could provide an exclusive authenticity of the Thai Royalty? Thus, this was certainly one of the best encounters of my life. To add to the sweetness of the trip, sticky mango rice and the special papaya salad topped it up with its royal crown. The significant portion of the fruit and the boiled rice amalgamated to produce this out of the box, and unconventional desert stripped all the brownie points. So this is the best restaurant I have ever tried in Dubai.
