The scope of the Encyclopedia includes; The hydrosphere, lithosphere, atmosphere, magnetosphere, cryosphere, and biosphere, and their interactions, especially in regards to how these systems support life and underpin human existence and the living organisms on Earth that constitute its biological diversity.
