Secrets to Keep Chickens Cool: Easy Heat Stress Solutions for Broiler Farms.

Imagine this, your chickens are like us on a bright sunny day, feeling the heat and struggling to stay cool. When they get too hot, it messes up their normal body temperature balance.

Here's what makes them stressed:

- If the air isn't flowing well (think of a stuffy room),

- When it's super hot outside, making them produce too much Heat,

- When there are too many chickens in one place,

- And if they don't have enough water.

But don't worry, there's a way to help them out:

- Make sure the air in their space can move around well,

- Add cool systems to your farm, like giving them a fan,

- On hot days, give them water that's not too warm,

- Feed them with food that has lots of protein,

- Give them vitamins and anti-stress medicine,

- Don't let too many chickens stay together,

- Feed them early in the morning and late in the evening.

Chickens get really stressed out by the heat when their bodies get too hot. It's like when we feel too hot and can't cool down. Here's what happens: they struggle to balance the heat their bodies make with the heat they lose.

How old can broilers be affected by heat stress?

From as early as 1 week old. So in case of Heat Stress in one week old, feeding can still be early morning and late evening, because you know they eat a lot at that stage. Add more of cool water with glucose.
