Is Cell Phone RF Affecting Your Sleep and Health?

What about trees?

One peer-reviewed study showed that trees were being damaged by a 5G base station. Other studies point to multiple human health concerns, and clearly indicate that more studies and precautions are needed.

“The occurrence of unilateral damage is the most important fact in our study and an important argument for a causal relationship with RF-EMF, as it supplies evidence for non-thermal RF-EMF effects. This constitutes a danger for trees worldwide. These results are consistent with the fact that damage inflicted on trees by cellphone towers usually start on one side, extending to the whole tree over time.”

The change to 5G for smart phones and IoT (the Internet of Things) will require more cell masts, that are much closer together. The recent addition of cell masts onto an existing high tension power line Tower in our township, got me looking into the subject of RF (Radio Frequencies) and potential health and sleep effects (again).

Setbacks for Cell Towers and Cell Antennas (Source)

  • Shelburne, MA – 3,000 feet for schools and 1,500 feet of homes; no new wireless antennas in residential zones
  • Copake, NY – 1,500 feet from homes, schools, churches, or other buildings containing dwelling units
  • Sallisaw, OK –  no commercial wireless telecommunications towers within 1,500 of homes.
  • Calabasas, CA – no “Tier 2” wireless telecommunications facilities within 1,000 feet of homes and schools
  • Bedford, NH –   750 feet from nearest residentially-zoned property
  • Scarsdale, NY – No wireless facilities within 500 feet from homes, schools, parks, and houses of worship
  • Walnut City, California: 1,500 feet
  • Stockbridge, Massachusetts: 1,000 feet
  • San Diego County California 1,000 feet (small cells)
  • Palo Alto, California:  School Board supports the City of Palo Alto immediately establishing local municipal zoning setback rules of 1500 feet or more from an operating wireless transmitter and a school site
Keep in mind that the RF meter used in this video only captures a small portion of everything that’s being emitted by these cell towers and masts:

“The preliminary survey you did makes sense. These small cells are focused, typically a few hundred feet away from the antenna, so that is where the most intense radiation levels will be measured. The 5G network is complex. It involves the 4G LTE frequencies, which you are able to detect with your monitor. But it also utilizes higher frequencies in the millimeter wavelength that current handheld detectors cannot detect because they are typically only sensitive up to 8 GHz. The new 5G frequencies are up over 20 GHz. There is currently no way fo the lay person to monitor the radiation we are being exposed to in the higher frequency band.”

“Most people are unable to sense the presence of WCR. Indeed, most people carry cell phones up to their ear and walk down the street completely oblivious to the radiation levels they are being exposed to. However, for those with environmental hypersensitivity syndrome (EHS), determined to be up to 5% of the population in many countries [21,22], the barrage of electropollution from the ubiquitous installation of antennas has been an unrelenting assault on their lifestyle and quality of life. Some citizens with EHS have found they can no longer live in their hometown because of the increasing WCR intensity levels.”

I would also ask these simple questions, with my limited understanding of this topic:
  • Should men carry cell phones (that aren’t in ‘Airplane Mode’) in their pants pocket?
  • Should you put a Faraday cage around your electric company’s Smart meter?
  • Should you use aluminum window screen to block RF from reaching you?
  • Is keeping your smart phone next to your bed disrupting your sleep?
  • Do some research, make some adjustments, and judge for yourself!

What you need to know about 5G:
  • Millions of small cells are to be built near our homes in the name of 5G.
  • Wireless companies warn investors of risks but neglect to inform consumers and neighbors living near towers.
  • Antennas near homes decrease property values.
  • Cellular radiation negatively impacts birds and bees.
  • Trees will be cut down for 5G “small cells.” (More)
  • US cities and entire countries are voting to halt 5G.
  • Community authority is being overruled at every level.
  • Many countries have more protective cell tower radiation limits compared to the USA.
  • Cumulative daily radiation exposure to wireless radiation is associated with serious health effects.
  • No one is monitoring radiation exposures from these cell installations and many cell towers are in violation of the radiation limits.
  • The American Academy of Pediatrics is one of many medical organizations calling to reduce children’s exposure.
  • 5G is NOT faster and 5G antennas will  transmit radiation differently.
  • Skyrocketing energy consumption.
  • Insurance authorities classify 5G as “High Risk.”
  • The radiation from these small cell antennas is not small.
  • 5G will add an extra layer  — not replace — our current wireless technology.
  • 5G Networks could pose a ‘Major Risk’ to airplane radar and weather prediction.
  • Scientists worldwide are calling to halt 5G.
  • Environmental authorities are cautioning on environmental impacts.
  • Environmental groups Worldwide are opposed to 5G.
  • Government officials are asking for proof of safety.
  • Firefighters fought hard to oppose 5G small cells in California and got their stations exempt from forced installations.
  • 5G’s higher frequencies are absorbed into the skin.
  • Cell tower radiation is linked to damage in human blood.

“In May 2011 the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) evaluated cancer risks from radiofrequency (RF) radiation. Human epidemiological studies gave evidence of increased risk for glioma and acoustic neuroma. RF radiation was classified as Group 2B, a possible human carcinogen. The IARC cancer classification includes all sources of RF radiation. The exposure from mobile phone base stations, Wi-Fi access points, smart phones, laptops and tablets can be long-term, sometimes around the clock, both at home and at school. For children this risk may be accentuated because of a cumulative effect during a long lifetime use. Developing and immature cells can also be more sensitive to exposure to RF radiation.”

Challenges to FCC broadband data map accepted through Jan. 13
January 6, 2023
– With one week left to review the Federal Communications Commission’s National Broadband Map, Pittsburgh-based company Michael Baker International is sharing tips for how people can challenge the maps showing where high-speed internet service is offered. In order for challenges to be considered by the FCC, individuals should submit challenges online through the New National Broadband Map at https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov/home no later than Jan. 13.
