“Electric Vehicles in the UK: Turning Niche into Mainstream”: ESCP Europe’s Electric Vehicle Tour using EVision Tesla’s

ESCP Europe Business School and TryMyEV took to the road on a tour of Europe in four Tesla Model S electric cars, hired from EVision Supercars last week.

The road trip launched with a conference, held in London, “Electric Vehicles in the UK: Turning Niche into Mainstream” which brought together stakeholders in the development of electric vehicles in the UK to discuss the challenges facing the sector.

Bringing their own unique perspectives to the discussion was Hugh Edeleanu, Chairman of H.E. Services and Founder of EVision Supercars; Simon Empson, Managing Director of Broadspeed Ltd; Erik Fairbairn, CEO of POD Point and Ben Fletcher, Senior Product Manager for Renault’s ZE Range.

Tour of Europe to Research Driving Experience, Policies and Consumer Attitudes Across Europe

Starting at ESCP Europe’s campus in north London, students, alumni and corporate partners last week crossed 7 international borders visiting the Tesla factory in the Netherlands and ESCP Europe campuses in Berlin, Turin and Paris.

On the way, they researched the policies and consumer attitudes towards the adoption of electric vehicles in each country they visited, live blogging for specialist publication Renewable Energy World and will soon produce an article for The Economist’s MBA Diary.

Their work will provide useful input for manufacturers in the automotive sector, environment groups, businesses, national and local government policy-makers, journalists, academics and consumers.
