Aussie event to draw lessons from other crops

Australian hemp stakeholders can look for lessons in the experiences of experts working in other crops during the the Australian Industrial Hemp Conference Feb. 27–March 2, 2018 at the Rydges Geelong hotel, Geelong, Victoria in South Australia.

Early bird rates for conference accreditations are available those who register before this Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017.

A plenary session on the opening morning of the event will be chaired by Lyn Stephenson, President of Industrial Hemp Association of Victoria, who’ll introduce the segment under the theme “Learning from other industries: The last 50 years in . . . .”

Picking up from there, sector overviews will be given on: Grapes, Beverages and Hospitality by Lyndsay Sharp, Director of Marketing, Sales and Hospitality, Sharp Group; The Australian Cotton Industry by Adam Kay, CEO, Cotton Australia; and The Australian Olive Industry by Leandro Ravetti, Technical Director, Boundary Bend Olives.

A wide range of hemp-specific sessions by international and Australian speakers are also on the schedule.

The Industrial Hemp Association of Victoria, AgriFutures Australia and th Australian Industrial Hemp Alliance are working jointly to stage the the Conference.
