Polish hemp retailer adds partner

HempToday has joined Polish entrepreneur Mateusz Jędrasik as a partner in the Polish retail hemp shop hampa.pl. The online consumer marketplace will be relaunched later this month, the partners said.

Jędrasik started hampa.pl in 2012. He is also sole owner of Hemp Chef, a startup that makes a line of top-shelf kitchen attire for professional chefs.

Hampa.pl’s retail product portfolio includes hemp-based clothing and accessories, health and beauty products, and food. The partners said they will expand the online store’s domestic sourcing from the growing number of Polish hemp producers as Poland’s market for healthy, more sustainable products rapidly expands. They also will look to grow its roster of import suppliers based on exclusive agreements to sell high-quality, unique hemp products from around the world on the Polish market.

Ahead of the hampa.pl relaunch, the partners have made new agreements with hemp product suppliers in France, Czech Republic, South Africa and Nepal, and continue in discussions with other global producers, said Kehrt Reyher, HempToday Editor & publisher. Products from several European countries are already in the hampa.pl online shop.

Under the partnership agreement, HempToday also has opened a showroom and retail outlet at its HempToday Center in south-central Poland.

HempToday is published under the Naklo Foundation, which manages a range of hemp projects in support of its public service agenda that includes environmental protection, entrepreneurship and thought leadership globally; and historical preservation, economic development and cultural activities.
