Clive Lewis comes from a working class background and was the first member of his family to go to university, in his case reading economics at the University of Bradford. After he graduated he worked for the BBC, joined the TA and served a tour in Afghanistan. The interview is well worth watching as he gives thoughtful answers, pointing out the current brouhaha in the LP is not about the Party Leader, it's about far more than that, it about moving the party's centre of gravity away from the neo liberal right towards the socialist left.

While Clive doesn't say it so bluntly, he clearly believes the current attacks were instigated by a small cable of embittered Blairites, who managed to entice more reasonable Labour MP's into their conspiracy to overthrow the elected party leader due to the shock of Brexit.
