The Evacuees are on their way. Even in central North Carolina the local coliseum will become the new temporary home 400+/- evacuees, of which will become new residents. For the lucky ones whom are to be deposited here in this state this is what they have to look forward to. First a decontamination shower, new clothes, an Identification badge with photo will be issued, and a brief detainment at our airport.

Next transport to the Greensboro, NC. coliseum where as I write these words the finishing touches are being made. The army cots are assembled, food tables are set up, and a news/intertainment area (which consists of simple chairs around a stage with a wide screen t.v.).
There will also be more clothes availible, mainly socks, towels, and soap with more on the way.

The other items are as follows, the proper agencies will be conducting interviews to determine the needs of the evacuees; to those whom have children there will be arrangements made for the children of the evacuees to enter our schools. And in time, for the process has allready begun and that is for short/long time housing arrangements. After all some of evauees will only be visiting for a short time, while others will need more time before they are ready to return home. And yes we know that some of the evacuees will want to become citizens of the state of North Carolina, after all we have a lottery now so if the state taxes don't get you the lottery will.
