Absentee voting will begin for registered South Dakota voters Friday, September 23rd, 46 days prior to the general election held on Tuesday, November 8th. Secretary of State Shantel Krebs expects a high turnout across South Dakota, “South Dakota always ranks in the top ten in the nation for voter turnout and we expect to have that trend continue in 2016.”
