That Homophobic attacks (and attacks/abuse on the grounds of racism and Islamophobia) have risen following the Brexit decision is shameful.

It makes me even more concerned about what has been released by the Leave campaign – not only will there be economic ramifications, which we all expected, but there are clearly massive negative social impacts as well, on all groups who a minority of Brexiteers dislike for whatever racist or homophobic reasons that exist in their heads.

We have to make a success of Brexit – we have no choice on that – but we MUST prevent the destruction of the open and tolerant British society.

At the moment, I am struggling to be proud to be British thanks to the destruction of our nation by the Europhobes who cared naught for anything but leaving the EU – whatever the costs.

All of us who believe in the true British values need to fight for them. Hate must not be allowed to rise in our country.
