Slowly, but surely, I’m getting back in the swing of things. And my calendar is filling up A few things I have on my plate to participate in that may interested you:

    • June 3 – panel discussion after the screening of “Political Animals,”which is being shown as a part of the 4th Annual LGBT Film Festival. Virginia Wesleyan University, 7:30pm – 10:30pm, $15. Details.
    • June 17 – presentation on the Dillon Rule, a topic I’ve written about a lot over the years. LWVSHR Saturday unit, Pretlow Library, 11:00am to noon, free.
    • June 21 – presentation “Redistricting: the Virginia Way.” Another topic near and dear to my heart. These are exciting times in this area, with SCOTUS on the brink of taking on partisan redistricting. LWVSHR Redistricting Unit, Braise Restaurant, noon to 1pm, free.
    • July 19 – presentation on the Electoral College, of which I was a member last year. (Yes, I’ve written about that, too – also a couple of pieces here.) ODU Institute for Learning in Retirement, 10am – noon, membership required.
