It’s been a while since I posted anything about my columns in The Virginian-Pilot – mainly because it’s been a while since I wrote anything! I see the last post I did was in May 2015! It hasn’t been that long since I wrote anything but life kinda got busy. And then when I tried to write, I had a really hard time getting going.
Anyway, you can always catch my op-eds on PilotOnline here. Go ahead and bookmark that link – since they changed the menu navigation, it can be a little hard to find. (They also post automatically to my Facebook page.)
Here’s a rundown on my op-eds:
- 5/28/15: In Norfolk, no way to pick next school chief
- 06/11/15: A class with financial acumen
- 06/25/15: Move past symbols in conversation about race
- 07/02/15: Growing crowd of We the people
- 07/09/15: The bad best-case scenario for redistricting
- 07/23/15: Polling for voters in local, national races
- 08/02/15: Precious pencils and paper
- 09/17/15: Another day, another redistricting lawsuit
- 10/01/15: Take a look at Virginia’s redistricting proposals
- 10/15/15: End Byrd voting legacy
- 10/29/15: High cost of staying home on Election Day
- 11/12/15: What comes next in Richmond
- 08/21/16: Keeping public colleges public
- 09/04/16: Lower your eyes on November’s ballot
- 09/18/16: The ever-changing Virginia Constitution
Right now, I’m trying to write every other week. And, of course, column tips are always welcome
Just a reminder: Although my column appears in the paper, I am not and have never been an employee of The Virginian-Pilot nor am I paid for my articles.
