How do you republicans not see the forest for the trees. Probally because you are led around by people(political and religious leaders) in charge and not able to think for yourselves. That is how the republican would like to see everybody be. Us liberals think for ourselves and we know that what is right for one person may not be right for everybody. For example somebody may think that an R rated movie has the ability to be more dynamic and realalistic than a G movie because the producer has more freedom to express himself. He also may think it is not approate for his children to watch or he may, but he feels that he has the right to determine that and not the law. Not everybody can be led around by somebodies elses morals cause we are not all programmed the same, or we would all fall in line and do exactly what we are told. A republican paradise that would be, but not even close psycologically or biologically. To a republican anybody that works outside what they think is right has a mental disorder because they (the republicans) don't have the ability to see from a different prospective, which makes them stupid. Walk in another man's shoes a while. They are like dogs and the alpha is Bush and they will fight for there alpha without question, just like the Nazi party with Hitler. To not question is not human. This society is based on Socratic thought and not what most christians think, Jesus. Not saying that he had no influence. Many great humans have been Christians. Then there is the current republican party, they seem like biggots, anybody with dark skin must be opressed, the Immigration laws, How they deal with Iraqies and the middleeast, The black men and women in New Orleans during Katrina, alot of which me and my girlfriend have talked to along with the white people and their stories contrast enormously on how they were treated. Thinking outside the box made this country great and that is true patriotism, not standing up for something completely wrong like war. I think we can all agree that killing another man is wrong, especially if it is the wrong men.
