One of America’s closest allies in the Middle East is Saudi Arabia a country that’s received and enjoyed massive military aid from the United States for years resulting in the long term influence of American foreign policy.
But the balance of power is now in the hands of the Iranians, and it’s all because of the decision in 2015 when President Obama instigated a new Agreement with Iran that they believe will put restrictions on Iran’s acquisition of nuclear weapons.
But for Iran to comply with this agreement Iran demands other world powers must lift all economic sanctions they are imposing on Iran.
Nonetheless the Saudis are extremely unhappy with this agreement, they have no love for the Iranian’s and firmly believe that Iran will use the unfrozen assets and business opportunities to support the Shiite rebels in the region, they also believe that Iran’s long term aim is to destabilise the Sunni-led government by using this new found freedom to trade and purchase and build a stockpile of more devastating and lethal weapons of mass destruction in support of its further plans for regional influence and expansion.
