Since I was a child once thing that I have heard within the Latino Community is that they are under the belief that Democrats are for Latinos, and that the Democratic Party is more focused on helping their efforts in immigration and public health. This is a problem that has kept many latinos from really understanding any other party but the Democratic party. I believe that the Latino community would see things differently if they were educated more on the overal political system. Most hispanics in the lower class base are uneducated when it comes to American politics, and they see the republican party as a racist and pro immigration party that is only focused on giving to the rich and not the poor.
