DEATH OF A HERO'S DREAM

Now we are living in a country named India, also known as SONE KI CHIDIYA or MERA BHARAT DESH MAHAAN or MERA PYARA HINDUSTAN. It definitely feels good to hear these words about INDIA, but think once more, do our country deserve these words like MERA BHARAT DESH MAHAAN????
            I say, a big NO.
India deserved these words before independence, when Indians were slaves of Britishers. It was the time when all the Indians were united. All Indians at that time forgot their personal differences and fought for their country. That was a patriotic era. At that time there was no hindu, no muslim, no sikh. Every one was an Indian. They first belonged to India and then to their particular REGION or RELIGION. At that time our BHARAT DESH was MAHAAN. At that time it was MERA PYARA HINDUSTAN. At that time youngsters like Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev were all from different places, but only one thing was in their mind, that they were Indians and their goal was to serve their nation. I am not saying that v were in better condition at that time. I am only comparing the mentality of common citizen of that period and today.
Now compare this with today. Some one is saying that its our state, biharis are not allowed in our state, some one is saying I am a Hindu and I ll not let any Muslim make a mosque in a hindu town, some one is saying I need a separate country like Pakistan. Some hindus r killing muslims, some hindus r killing Sikhs, some Sikhs are killing Hindus, some Muslims are killing Hindus.
It was the dream of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev that India should be free from britishers. And they died for their dream, they died for their beloved country-INDIA. At that time they were even younger than many of us. They had dreamed for equality for everyone in India, there should be no disparity among people on the basis of caste and creed. They had dreamed India free of corruption, religion politics and etc. Britishers’ policy was “divide and rule”. Britishers tried to divide hindus, muslims and Sikhs. But they were unsuccessful in their act because of people like Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.
But when I think about their dreams, I feel very disappointed and sad. When I think of their dreams, today’s India flashes before my eyes. Then only one thing comes in my mind that today their DREAM IS DEAD. Today we can say that we are free from british rule, but we are still slaves--slaves of politicians, slaves of corruption, slaves of liquor, slaves of red tapism, slaves of people who use us for their own good. Today politicians are using “divide and rule” policy to divide us. They are exploiting our emotional chords. They are using hate speeches against a religion to garner votes. Today our India is sinking in the sea of corruption. Youth is busy in drinking, fighting with each others and consuming other harmful substances.
If our great freedom fighters would have known that this will be the condition of India after freedom, then they must have thought once more before sacrificing their lives for INDIA.
Wake up Indians, still there is time. We can still change India. Lets bring another INQLAAB. Lets say no to bribery, dont give and don’t take bribe. Lets give it a damn this time and vote, and vote for a person who is honest and can bring about change. Lets promise ourselves that we will India and make India a country of their dreams. Lets make sure that those great freedom fighters, those HEROS, sitting and watching us from heaven, are not regretting their sacrifice
