Highlight of 'Maan Ki Baat' addressed by PM Modi

The PM Modi addressed the nation through his favourite radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' on 26th March. The 30th's edition of Mann Ki Baat was the first edition after the BJP's victory in the Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand and also managed to form the govt in Goa and Manipur.


In this edition the PM Modi firstly congratulated the Bangladesh's people on his 46th independence Day and assured them that India will be good friend and a strong partner, as it was earler, and the both countries would continue to work together for peace, security and the development in the entire region.

It is a matter of great pride for the Indians because of the national anthem of Bangladesh had been composed by Rabindranath Tagore as well as of India, said PM Modi and also paid homage to Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. The PM Modi also described Mahatma Gandhi's Champaran Satyagraha as a turning point in the entire journey of the freedom strugge of India.

» The Black money
In the fight against the black money and the corruption to the next level, the PM Modi supported the Digi-Dhan movement as a great success and said that after the demonetisation, there was a surge in the cashless transactions. He said that the 1.5 crore people has downloaded the BHIM App from its launch over two months ago. The PM Modi also urged the people of the country to do digital transactions as much as they can in this year.

PM Modi said that about 12.5 lakh people and 70,000 traders has still won the prize which was announced by the govt on the digital transactions.

» Swachha BharatThe PM Modi speaking about this project advised to people of the country that make cleanliness an integral part of our lives and ensure a clean India. On his pet project 'Swachha Bharat', the MP Modi talked about a phone message from a girl from Dehradu, Gayatri, who had expressed anguish over the river pollution.

» Maternity leave
To ensure the proper care of the newborn babies, the govt had extended the maternity leave from 12 to 26 weeks, the PM Modi said. The nearly 18 lakh women, who is working in the formal sector, would be benefited from this initiative.

» The woes of depression
According to WHO the36% of Indian are depressed. The PM Modi urged the people not to keep any issue under the wraps. It can be overcome. The people can play a role in helping those people, who are suffering from depression, overcome. It is alwasys very good to share your feelings with the others, if feelings any kind of depression, the PM Modi said.
