It was Jasprit Bumrah who picked up two wickets in the final over to help the India to a five run victory over the England and to level the T20I series.

The KL Rahul hit a superb 71 from the 47 balls to take India upto 144-8 despite of a fine England bowling efforts, led by the Chris Jordan (3-22).

The England had looked in a strong position in the chase but some fantastic death bowling from the Ashish Nehra (3-28) and Bumrah (2-20) that saw India prevail and send the three-match series to a decider.

Ashish Nehra kept it tight for the first three balls of the penultimate over the only for the Buttler to hit 12, include a four and a six, from the last three deliveries.

With the eight needed from the final over, Root (38) was given out the lbw first ball, despite getting a clear edge. A single for Ali brought Buttler on the strike with seven needed from the four balls. A swing and aa miss made it seven from three before Buttler was bowled from the next.

Dhoni left England needing six from the final ball but Ali was unable to connect that leave India to celebrate a hard-fought victory for India.
