The EU have served notice on Greece that it will be evicted from the Schengen zone unless it meets strict conditions that it has no hope of ever meeting. Passport controls will be put in place imminently and won't be lifted until 2018 at the earliest if Greece can get a grip on illegal immigration. More illegal immigrants arrived in Greece in January than the whole of 2015.
