This blog is a small detour from my blogs on Republican and Democrat policy positions for Election 2020, I will be back tomorrow with a new polcy position. However, I believe as I have stated a few times recently that the importance of Election 2020 cannot be overstated. I believe the body of Christ must step up and vote biblical values, today I am going to tell you what is at stake if we do not and it should be noted that at least 54 million Christians did not vote 4 years ago.
Ecclesiastes 1:9 says: That which has been is that which will be, And that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun. I believe this statement is very true, history always repeats itself. America stands on the precipice of voting in full blown tyranny on November 3, 2020. I also believe that the body of Christ must in en masse vote biblical values or this country is sunk.
Many times around each election we tend to hear pastors/preachers if they mention the election, say things like it does not matter who wins the election God is still on the throne. While this statement is true, it is also one of the biggest cooked spaghetti spine cop outs ever spoken. We are accountable to God for how we vote and any pastor who states otherwise is being disingenuous at best.
In the early 1930s many/most pastors/preachers in Germany likely stated that it did not matter which party won the federal parliamentarian elections that God was still on the Throne. Bonhoffer warned and warned about the dangers of Nazism and Hitler, but the 1930s German church was much like the 2020 American church. We often wonder how Hitler came to power in a country like Germany. He was elected and the German Church as a whole allowed it to happen.
Today in America we have watchmen on the wall warning and we do have some Pastors/Preachers speaking the truth about what is at stake, however, by and large many pastors/preachers are silent or making spineless statements. There are also pastors/preachers buying into the WOKE/Marxist/Communist/Cancel Culture. Before you think I am being too harsh please note a quick internet search will give you a list of Christians who support the genocide of babies and actual marxism and the destruction of the family.
In recent history there has not been much light between the GOP and Democrats during elections and after them. I will not go into the long list of issues I have with the standard GOPers. Additionally, most elections the Democrats are not so in your face about what they plan to do to Liberty and Freedom if they win majorities and the White House. However, Praise God, their intent is not hidden at all this time. So you can do an internet search of any of the things I am writing to check their accuracy.
If the Democrats win (please note they already hold the House) the Senate and the White House here are their plans:
In the Senate:
- They will get rid of the filibuster which means the minority party will have no recourse to stop bills.
- They will make all votes a simple majority, currently only judical nominees are a simple majority, everything else requires 60 votes.
- They will vote for Statehood for Puerto Rico and Washington D.C., giving the Democrats 4 new Democrat Senators basically in perpetuity.
- They will vote to increase the number of SCOTUS justices (please note the number of SCOTUS justices are set by Congress, not the Constitution) so it will be liberal again in perpetuity.
- We will see a gutting of the 2nd Amendment
- We will see open borders
- We will see a crack down/gutting on Freedom of Religion
- There are many other things as well, basically they will be a rubber stamp for the white house policies.
- The above Senate changes will make America a one party rule nation (think California).
- I will continue to go through policy positions for the party platforms in future blogs.
Constitutional protections will be gutted, so the Freedom we now enjoy (although 2020 has seen some of it curtailed) will evaporate and likely quickly, and with an expansion on SCOTUS court protections for the Constitution will be gone. Look at how quickly rights have been stripped in the era of the CCP virus and many places are still in lockdown.
We have seen the rise of every vile group you can imagine coming together and rioting, looting, and burning down cities while mayors and governors do nothing. This type of lawlessness will become the norm and yes they will defund the police and take away your gun rights.
The above seems dark and dystopian, many think this cannot or would not happen, this is America after all. Honestly before the era of CCP virus I felt pretty much the same way, this is America freedom will always reign. However, look at what happened in the early 1930s in Germany and how quickly. Germans elected their own doom and demise.
It is time for the body of Christ to take her place in America, we have slept for far too long. Pastors/Preachers open your churches and speak the truth loudly, it is your job to shepherd the sheep and God's standards have not changed since the beginning of time. The choice this election is literally between Freedom & Liberty and Tyranny.
