NYC Looking To Put More Park On Park Avenue

Last month, New York City (NYC) took a Major Step forward, in the plan to Reimagine the Medians along Park Avenue in East Midtown.

Over the last few years, Elected Officials, and Local Stakeholders, have called for a Modernization of the Medians, as New Development comes to East Midtown.

These New Developments, create an Opportunity to Replace the Medians, with a use that better Serves those in the Area, including the Historical use as a Walking Path, interspersed with Benches, Bushes, Greenery, and more.

To Design the New Public space, the City plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP), in the Spring to hire a Landscape Architect, to create a Master Plan for the Project, and work with the Department of Transportation (DOT) on the New Designs.

NYC Council Member, Keith Powers (D-4th District), Majority Leader, Chair of the Rules, Privileges, and Elections Committee, my City Council Member, As Chair of the East Midtown Public Realm Improvement Fund Governing Group, is very excited to see Progress on this once-in-a-lifetime Project.
