States Election Changes Due to Covid-19


Here are some State Coronavirus-related Changes since Wednesday:

Kansas - Democrats Voting by Mail Only in Presidential Primary. They scrapped plans for Polling Sites for their May 2nd Presidential Primary and are using only Mail-In Ballots. The Party began Mailing Ballots to almost 390,000 Registered Voters and that figure could top 400,000.

New Jersey - Governor, Phil Murphy (D), issued an Executive Order Postponing the Statewide Primary Election from June 2nd to July 7th.

New York - Governor, Andrew Cuomo (D), suspended Absentee Voting Eligibility requirements for the June 23rd Primary, thus allowing All Voters to cast Mail Ballots. So All Voters who request a Mail Ballot will start receiving them on May 22nd.

Virginia - Governor, Ralph Northam (D), Postponed the Statewide Primary from June 9th to June 23rd. Northam is also Requesting that the Virginia General Assembly Postpone All General and Special Elections originally scheduled for May to November 3rd.
