EPA Announced They Will Roll Back Rules Around Coal Plants Disposal of Arsenic Waste

Tags: coal plant waste

The Trump Administration is Proposing to Allow Coal Companies to Leave Toxic Waste Sitting in Storage Ponds, where it can Seep into Groundwater and nearby Water Bodies.

This is a Serious Risk, One Coal Ash Spill in Tennessee, in 2008, sent More than 1 Billion Gallons of Waste pouring into a nearby Town. Now, 200 Workers involved in the Clean-Up are facing Brain, Lung, and Skin Cancer.

Currently, 91% of U.S. Coal-Fired Power Plants are already Contaminating Groundwater. And the 6 Million People Living near these Coal-Fired Power Plants are Disproportionately People of Color and Lower-Income People. The Danger here isn't Hypothetical, the Damage is Happening now.

There is 60 days to Mount a Response and Tell the Administration this Change is Unacceptable.

It can sometimes seem like there's a New Attack from Trump every day.

But it takes Money to Build a Campaign.
