NV Could Join National Popular Vote Interstate Compact

The National Popular Vote Bill (NPVIC) would Guarantee the Presidency to the Candidate who Receives the Most Popular Votes in All 50 States and the District of Columbia. To do this, you need enough States with 270 Electoral Votes to Send their Electors to the Electoral College.

It has been Enacted into Law in 14 States and D.C. with 189 Electoral Votes (CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, HI, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NM, NY, RI, VT, WA).

The Measure, Passed the State Assembly in April.

The State Senate Passed AB 186 by 12-8 on Tuesday, which includes the State in the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.

Nevada will Send Legislation to the Governor Steve Sisolak (D) Desk that would give the State's Electoral College Votes to the Winner of the Popular Vote.

When Signed, Nevada will become the 15th State and D.C. to do so, and Six Electoral Votes could boost the Total to 195.

So with 74 more Votes, we could Elect a President via the National Popular Vote in 2024.
