PA Bill for Semi-Closed Primary

Pennsylvania currently has Closed Primaries.

On September 13th, State Senator Joe Scarnati (R-25th District ), the Leader of the Republican Party in the Pennsylvania Senate, introduced SB 1234.

It would permit Independent Voters to choose Any Primary Ballot.

The Bill has Nine Senator Co-Sponsors:

David Argall [R-29th District]
Lisa Boscola [D-18th District]
Jay Costa [D-43rd District]
Andrew Dinniman [D-19th District]
Thomas Killion [R-9th District]
Robert Mensch [R-24th District]
John Rafferty [R-44th District]
Randy Vulakovich [R-40th District]
Kim Ward [R-39th District]

It is being introduced very late in the Legislative Session.
