Ranked-Choice Voting (RCV) Movement Updates
Santa Cruz, California - FairVote California and Yes on Ranked Choice just Filed Paperwork to bring a RCV Ballot Initiative to Santa Cruz, California. Maine Repeal and People's Veto - Earlier this week, the Maine Legislature decided the fate of the Citizen-Generated and Voter-Approved Ballot Initiative that would bring RCV to their State and Federal Races. The Legislature effectively Repealed RCV with their Delay until 2021 Absent a Constitutional Amendment. Advocates are Mobilizing however for the People's Veto. If Supporters can get 60,000 Signatures over the next 90 days in Maine, they will be able to Veto the latest Action taken by the Maine Legislature.
