NV State Senator to Draft a Bill for Top-Two System

Thanks to Richard Winger of Ballot Access News for this post.

Nevada State Senator James Settelmeyer (R-Minden) has asked his Legislative staff to draft a bill to put a Top-Two system in place in Nevada.

The draft probably won’t be available until February.

Senator Settelmeyer reportedly isn’t fully persuaded of the virtue of a Top-Two system but apparently wants the idea aired.

He represents Churchill, Douglas, Lyon County, and Storey County in Senate District 17.

The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) selected Senator James Settelmeyer to receive one of ALEC's top honors, Legislator of the Year on June 7th, 2015.
