The Acer's ebii is just what one would expect from a micro-mobility vehicle of this class, as it is equipped with an electric motor for speed assistance, onboard sensors for safety and security, and much more. It is designed primarily for urban use and has a sleek, minimalist body consisting of an aluminium alloy frame, flat handlebar, and single-sided fork, as well as front, rear, and side lighting. Acer reports that the smart bike has dimensions of 1578 mm (L) x 552 mm (W) x 1024 mm (H), weighs under 16 kg, and has a ride height range of 145 to 185 cm.

Practical Futuristic Design

In addition to these features, it is equipped with AirFom airless tyres, support for LTE and Bluetooth communication, 160 mm hydraulic disc brakes, a single-sided 250 W hub motor with 48 V CAN bus that is capable of delivering 40 Nm of torque and up to 25 km/h of help speed, and a CAN bus. The ebii is powered by a replaceable 460 W Li-ion battery that has a range of 100 km and comes with fast-charging technology that allows the battery to be fully charged in just 2.5 hours. The most interesting thing that Acer has to say about the battery pack is that it can also be used as a power bank for your laptop or smartphone.

110KM of Mileage of a Single Full Charge

The detachable battery can even be used to charge your laptop!

In terms of safety, the ebii is equipped with a collision detection system and an auto-lock system with an alarm. The latter automatically locks the bicycle if it detects that your phone is out of range, warns you promptly if a suspected theft attempt is detected, and activates the onboard alarm. In addition, there is built-in GPS locating, which not only helps determine your present riding location but also allows you to trace the ebii should it go lost.

Acer did not provide any information regarding the price of the ebii or the anticipated release date. Having said that, it is unknown at this time whether or not the company has any intentions to introduce its very first smart bike to the country of Malaysia in the not-too-distant future.
