Different Ways to Bet On The NFL

The NFL is one of the biggest sports leagues in the world and has always had a massive following in the US. The league has recently started to make a big push towards appealing to a more international audience and today fans in Europe or Asia can be just as involved in the games as those in the USA.

This has also brought with it an increased interest in betting. Partly from all the new international fans and partly because more and more American states have started allowing betting on sports. In this text we’re going to go through three different ways you can bet on the NFL whether or not you are relying on any Super Bowl predictions.

Picking the Winner Of a Game

This is a simple and no-nonsense way of betting that is a perfect place to start if you’re inexperienced or are just looking to see whether betting is something that you enjoy. In this form of betting, you simply just pick which team is going to win. Remember to check the odds ahead of time, as the risk-reward for picking the most probable winner doesn't always make sense.

Parlays

Parlays are bet types that have started to pick up a lot of traction in the US and are a way of betting where the bettor picks a number of things that can happen during a game and then combines them to increase their winnings. A parlay for an NFL game might look something like the following example: The Buccaneers win against the Dolphins. Tom Brady throws for at least 200 yards. The Dolphins score less than 4 touchdowns. The Buccaneers catch at least one interception.

While all of these things are relatively likely to happen during the course of a game, packaging them together means that the potential payout is much higher.

Bets That Stretch Through the Entire Season

Bets that stretch through the entire season can be a good route to take if you’re someone who isn’t really interested in betting on individual games but would rather have something to follow throughout the season, without having to watch all the games. This is a form of betting where you can go to the movies or some other activity without having to be focused on the games that are being played. You can bet on everything from how an individual player will perform to what team is going to win the entire thing. Many gamblers place a couple of long-term bets at the start of the season, mainly for fun, as they can have a very good payout.
