Samsung has officially released the Samsung Galaxy A04 which is an entry-level smartphone in Malaysia today. This comes less than a week after the Galaxy A04s model made its debut. This model, which is technically the base offering in the series, has an even more inexpensive price tag than its sister, albeit at the expense of various hardware and feature compromise.

The newly released phone boasts the same 6.5-inch LCD display with 720 x 1600-pixel resolution as the Galaxy A04s, but with a lower, undisclosed refresh rate. The Galaxy A04 lacks fingerprint-based biometric authentication features, which is another distinguishing characteristic. It does, however, include a speaker, a 3.5 mm headphone connector, and a USB-C port for data transfer and charging.
Huge 6.5-inch LCD Display
Under the hood, Samsung Galaxy A04 is powered by an undisclosed octa-core 2.3/1.8 GHz processor, up to 4 GB of RAM, and up to 64 GB of internal storage. Thankfully, you can have up to 1TB of external storage via microSD. The smartphone is juiced by a 5,000 mAh battery with no fast-charging functionality. The Galaxy A04 additionally supports up to 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, and Bluetooth 5.0, but not NFC. Out of the box, the smartphone runs on Android 12 overlaid with Samsung's in-house ONE UI Core 4.1.

In terms of imaging, the new entry-level gadget only features a dual camera arrangement on its rear, which consists of a 50 MP f/1.8 primary camera and a 2 MP f/2.4 depth sensor. To maintain its affordable price tag, the third rear camera has been removed.
