As usual, we are always in awe of the atmosphere at DoubleTree Melaka more so when their theme this time around is "Light of the Season". You will get that unmistakable heart-warming vibe here which promotes rekindled family moments, friendly get-togethers, and of course a renewed spirit of festivities despite the omnipresence of the dreaded pandemic. Fret not! We still enjoyed our buffet dinner a lot with strict compliance to the latest health and safety measures put up by the hotel. You could enjoy yourself as well.

The thing I like about dining in at DoubleTree Melaka is that you feel like you are in an art exhibition in a museum. The art pieces were of course the morsels of dainty food prepared by all the renowned chefs. We were totally ecstatic to be able to dine in a hotel again, to bask in the celebratory spirit with an unforgettable festive Christmas spread.

Rest assured that you will enjoy a feast like no other thanks to the amazing DoubleTree Christmas Buffet Menu 2021 at Makan Kitchen. We got to savour slices of whole brined roasted turkey with spiced honey glaze. It was really delectable and of course, no Christmas is complete without turkey right? Another "highlight" dish that I could not get enough of was the Australian Whole Lamb which was cooked slowly for 12 hours. I had like at least 3 servings if I am not mistaken.

Get ready to dig into the flavourful Yorkshire Pudding, Traditional Nut and Bread Stuffing, Roasted Pumpkin, Oven-baked Baby Potatoes, Caramelised Brussel Sprouts with Smoked Duck, Natural Beef Jus, Cranberry Relish and an assortment of mustards. We love the Mediterranean Chicken Roulade with Capsicum Tomato Salsa, there was even sushi and Maki, can you believe it?

This buffet dinner is definitely made for those with a sweet tooth. There are so many different varieties of pastries and desserts for one to indulge in. From the customary gingerbread men to their gingerbread houses, from chocolate caramel reindeer to snowballs and cakes. You will definitely be spoilt for choice and you would wish that your stomach could be bigger. I know we did. 😋
