Welcome to Yue at Sheraton Petaling Jaya

So after checking in at our luxurious Executive Deluxe King room, we headed to Yue Chinese Restaurant to have our lunch. We were ushered into a huge special private dining room to enjoy our luncheon. Everything in the restaurant has been immaculately planned right from the elegant oriental decorations to the beautiful city views. There is an LCD TV if you want to watch something or probably for your karaoke session. The walls of this private dining room have been well sound-proofed for you to enjoy your chic-chatting or boisterous peals of laughter.

After hours of travelling, we are glad to be greeted by the warm and friendly waiter who handed us the menu. Honestly there were so many cuisines to choose from at Yue Sheraton Petaling Jaya. After much consideration and flipping of pages, we eventually chose Yue's 5-course Cherry Blossom Set Menu. We cheerfully basked in the cozy zen ambiance of the restaurant. The whole atmosphere was so pleasant thanks to its traditional music playing at the back which truly complemented the rich Chinese decorations in our dining room.

The first cuisine from our to be served was the highly rated Chef's Special double boiled Chinese herbal soup served in a teapot! We were delighted to find a huge luscious abalone together with tender black chicken and aromatic cordyceps flower. The broth was so thick and fragrant, making it very flavourful and scrumptious. My wife and daughter really enjoyed this exquisite nourishing dish that really whetted their appetite. This is one of the must-try cuisine in Yue at Sheraton Petaling Jaya. I am glad that I ordered two sets of it.

Our next dish was the delightful Imperial Smoked Duck wrapped in egg pancake and Peking Sauce! The smoked duck was so delicate and gratifying that it will melt in your mouth the moment you have a bite. The well seasoned duck meat together with the thin and tasty egg pancake really tantalized my taste buds. Top it with the distinctive Peking sauce and your mouth will be bursting with flavour that you will not forget to quite a long time! I wish I could have more!

If you are someone who prefer seafood, then you will relish the baked cod fish topped with wasabi and chef's special sauce. The baked cod fish was cooked to perfection. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I could have sworn that the meat of cod fish was unbelievably creamy and smooth in my gaping mouth. The chef's special sauce made all the difference with a hint of zest and tempting zing. Of course we enjoyed the mushrooms and snappy asparagus as well.

As the saying goes no Chinese banquet is complete without the presence of rice right? Our next dish was fried rice with egg white and crispy scallops. Every grain of the rice was mellow and fragrant the way it should be. One could immediately taste the unmistakable "wok hey" in the fried rice. The egg white and crispy scallops elevated the flavour of rice and gave the dish more texture. Glad we had rice to eat together with our other dishes.

Last but not least, our desserts were served to round of our luncheon. Nothing beat having chilled fresh mango cream with milk and sago as your desserts. We also added another bowl of Matcha Ice Cream for ourselves to enjoy. Aww...these desserts were really luscious, heavenly and gratifying to say the least! We particularly loved how fresh and creamy our desserts were. OMG~we wish we could have a few more servings of these nectarous desserts. 

All in all we really had a pleasant and fulfilling feast at Yue. All the food served felt like Chinese New Year menus to me. It was a satisfying gastronomical journey for my family and I. Our tummies were happily filled and our moods were of course brightened for the whole day. If you are in PJ or KL, looking for great Chinese restaurants to dine in, then I highly recommend this Yue at Sheraton Petaling Jaya. You will definitely love the menus available at your disposal or you can choose the Cheery Blossom Menu that we had opted. Our family really indulged ourselves at Yue Sheraton PJ for sure!
