This is a powerful quote from our nation’s founding president, and it means many different things to those who read it. I would Love to see your comments on what it means to you.

At the time it was written, civilian arms and ammunition were almost exactly the same as the arms used by the military. The major exception, of course, was artillery. The same is definitely not the case today.

The argument against Assault Weapons in the hands of civilians seems to fly in the face of Washington’s thoughts on the matter. How can a free people maintain their independence from a government using assault weapons if the citizens are not allowed to possess weapons of equal power?

Again, I would love to see a rational dialogue on the subject. Any comments would be appreciated.
