John Krasinski will write and direct the post-apocalyptic horror Movie A Quiet Place Part II in 2020. It is the follow-up to the 2018 film A Quiet Place, and it continues to follow the first movie’s family as they struggle to survive in a post-apocalyptic world populated by blind aliens with keen hearing. While Cillian Murphy, Djimon Hounsou, and Okieriete Onaodowan join the cast, Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe return from the previous movie to reprise their parts. Krasinski also makes an appearance from the first movie in a new flashback scene.

Filming

The sequel’s filming got underway in June 2019.
On July 15, the start of filming was formally announced. Western New York locations like Akron, Olcott, Dunkirk, Lackawant, and Buffalo were all used for 47 days of filming. Other areas were Erie County, the city of North Tonawanda, Barcelona Harbor in the town of Westfield in Chautauqua County, and others.

Buffalo FilmWorks in South Buffalo has a sizable sound stage where movies were also filmed. The northbound South Grand Island Bridge was closed for 13 hours for filming at one of the final locations.

What actually happened to the little child in A Quiet Place?
