Effective January 1, the Illinois Safety, Accountability, Fairness and Equity-Today (SAFE-T) Act change the current system with provisions that end cash bail, limits how flight risks are determined, and among other things allows defendants under electronic monitoring to leave home for 48 hours before they can be charged with escape. All in the name of Equity which to me is a synonym for bull shit.
