30 killed at the Taliban twin bomb attack in Kabul

30 people have been reportedly Killed and 80 wounded in the twin bombings around the Afghan parliament in the capital Kabul.

The blasts took place when staff were leaving the complex meanwhile their target for carrying the attack was the members of the Afghan intelligence Agency.


Including those injured were the Provincial governor Humayun
who was critically injured, Ambassador Juma Mohammed Abdullah Al-Kaabi and a number of Emirati diplomats.

In a press release, President Ashraf Ghani vowed that all those behind the "criminal attacks" would be caught.


A witness at the scene of the first blast said "the attack was caused by a suicide bomber on foot. He said the car which was used in conveying the bomb was parked on the other side of the road and flung back those near the car when it detonated".

Another witness said the second bomb went off when police were trying to help the victims of the first.

The explosions was said to have took place during a dinner party where the UAE ambassador who had been in Kandahar to lay down the foundation stone of an orphanage and other dignitaries were guests.
