So far, all I have done is blabber on and on on what is the issues of Gaia currently. Yet, I did not make such a post. So, I have decided to write this as kind of a consolidation of the past few posts which I have written.
Greenhouse effect: The effect which causes Global Warming. Reduce this by using less electricity as most of the electricity in the world is used by burning fossil fuels and burning produces greenhouse gases. Remember to switch off the lights, fan/air conditioner/television when you leave the room.
Global warming: The thing caused by too much of the greenhouse effect. To reduce this, do the things above. Oh! And drive lesser. Use public transport. Less vehicles mean less greenhouse gases.
Tragedy of the Commons: Don't fall prey to it. Stand up and fight back. It can only stop when every single person agrees to stop harming the environment.
Melting Polar Ice Caps: One of the consequences of global warming. Same things as above. Please, no smoking. If you smoke, just stop! You're harming yourself, the people around you and Gaia. The likelihood of you and the people around you falling ill increases tremendously. Do you want them to fall ill just because of your selfishness of wanting to smoke cigarettes? Gaia is already sick. I'm trying to heal her by typing this...
You can help simply by doing the above things. Always remember, small bits add up to big bits. Of you do your part, and you tell everyone else to do it, you will be helping Gaia!
