Two months on, and the Green New Deal seems to be gaining momentum globally, Have you changed your stance?

Green New Deal is not a new idea, it was first presented decades ago by the european greens. UN Environment program also supported the idea in 2009, however, it did not attracted much attention.

The world is changing, environmental concerns are on the rise Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., think they have a start to a solution. Thursday they introduced a framework defining what they call a “Green New Deal” — what they foresee as a massive policy package that would remake the U.S. economy and, they hope, eliminate all U.S. carbon emissions.

That’s a really big — undertaking, and requires a whole new thinking. The green new deal got a lot of heat from both Republicans and Democrats as being an impossible undertaking, however things seem to be changing as other countries are warming up to the idea and ar looking for their own version

In the past two months alone there has been developed a global widespread feeling of urgency to fight climate change.
