Recently, President Trump tweeted that “… it is inconceivable that a lawyer would tape a client – totally unheard of; perhaps illegal. The good news is that your favorite President did nothing wrong!”. According to media reports, Michael Cohen tapped a face-to-face conversation with Donald Trump about buying the rights to a former Playboy Playmate story that she had an affair with Trump in 2006.
Some media analysts believe that this tape could add problems for President Trump. They believe that President Trump lied to the public in his presidential campaign about his affair with Karan McDougal. Whereas, others believe that Trump reputation will not be affected by this leak, as his voter base are only concerned with his performance as a president.
This scenario instigated a debate over social media regarding whether Trump is in trouble because of Cohen’s taped conversation with him.
