On October 3, after absconding for over a month, Honeypreet Insan, the adopted daughter of jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, surrendered to Haryana Police.
Haryana Police said she was taken into custody on the Zirakpur-Patiala road and will be produced in court on Wednesday.
Prior to her surrender, Honeypreet claimed her innocence in an interview with a news channel.

Honeypreet has been on the run since Ram Rahim's rape conviction on August 25.
Police have been on her trail since and have conducted raids in Nepal, Rajasthan, Bihar, and Haryana.
Haryana Police have charged Honeypreet with sedition, inciting violence and for being involved in the conspiracy to help Ram Rahim escape after his conviction.

In an interview prior to her surrender, Honeypreet refuted her ex-husband, Vishwas Gupta's allegations that she had sexual relations with Ram Rahim.
She said her relations with her father were pure and asked, "Can't a father love his daughter, can't a father touch his daughter lovingly?"
She added: "Whatever is being said is false…can't a father put his hand lovingly on his daughter's head?"

In her interview, Honeypreet said she went into depression following Ram Rahim's conviction and wasn't on the run.
"I was at home…I didn't even know…we were still crying about papa's conviction. We were fearful," she said.
She said she would approach the high court and Supreme Court to overturn Ram Rahim's conviction.
"I am certain my father will be cleared," she said.

Jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's 'adopted daughter' Honeypreet Insan and her female associate, Jagdeep Kaur, were produced before a local court today.
The court has sent both women to six-day police custody, a day after they were arrested after absconding for over a month.
Honeypreet faces allegations of inciting violence and conspiring to help Ram Rahim escape.
