Ergh, what on earth is going on with the weather at the moment? I honestly thought yesterday's thunderstorm would have cleared things up, but we're back to Rain and more rain today. Maybe things will clear up later. I certainly hope so, the only thing it has done is given my new lawn a good drink, when I looked out the window this morning it was already a jungle out there, even after just a few days! Time to get the mower out later.
So besides hopefully attacking the lawn with the mower later, I'm also going to make a start (well measuring up at the very least) on a job I've had in the pipeling for a while now. Basically our Garage has only been accesible from the main garage door since we moved in... well since forever in fact! I know it sounds crazy, but that's been the only way for me to get in there, particularly frustrating when I need to grab a screwdriver for a 2 minute job and it's pouring with rain outside, as per this week for example!
So, the plan is to put an access door between the hallway area and the garage, which presents a few interesting challenges, chiefly the need to move a radiator and replace it with one that's half the width, and perhaps more scarily for an non-electrical type such as myself - to move the main breaker board that's the garage side of the wall. I'm determined to give as much of it a go as I can though, even if I do get an electrician in eventually.
I'm looking forward to the fun part, once everything is clear, actually knocking a hole through the wall (in a controlled manner of course!)
