I suspect it’s already here; the physalis has lit its lanterns one by one, and the balcony is starting to look a little bedraggled.
The tomato plant that kept on giving:
Blauhilde the runner bean, which almost died down in late July, surprisingly came back with new, healthy foliage and flowers and another crop of purple beans in September.
