Slug Control

The war is over............Well sort of, maybe. The results are looking promising for the control of slugs eating my Veg Planted in pots.

I am currently planting veg in pots whilst I get me new vegetable plot built in my garden and have been having a issue with slugs grazing on my fruit and veg planted in pots.  The solution is old electronic devices set for the recycling centre, or to be more specific the copper from the flex cable of old electronic devices.

Anytime a device meets its built in obsolescence target, I cut the flex cable off it, remove the plastic covering and then use the copper to tie around my pots half way up. Now I don't know if it is an electric shock stopping slugs crossing the copper or the texture but its working.

I know some people say that you need 2 copper barriers to give an electric shock but this method seems to be currently working for me at the minute. I will keep this updated with any observations.
