India vs West Indies 1st Test Highlights: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video via its official Twitter account featuring talented youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal and wicketkeeper batter Ishan Kishan. The duo received their first Test caps ahead of India vs West Indies 1st Test on Wednesday (July 12) at Dominicia’s Windsor Park. The day was quite special for Yashasvi as the 21-year-old, after showing off his talent with back-to-back stunning performances in the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), earned a well-deserved call-up to the India Test team, eventually becoming the 306th Test cricketer to play for the Indian cricket team. While Ishan Kishan received his Test Debut Cap from ex-India skipper Virat Kohli, Yashasvi got his Test Debut Cap from all-format skipper Rohit Sharma.

Southpaw Yashasvi was a bit nervous in the beginning of his innings but after seeing a few balls he felt comfortable and looked carefree in the crease for most of his stay on Day 1 of IND vs WI 1st Trial. He and opener Rohit put together a solid stand of 80 runs for the first wicket after the Indian bowlers knocked out hosts West Indies for just 150 runs in their first innings.
