Nagpur. An 18-year-old boy, who had gone swimming in the Pench River with some friends, drowned in the water. This incident took place on Monday morning at the Pench River Ghogra compound. Late young man Piyush Sanjay Renke is a resident of Bholebaba Nagar Udaynagar Ring Road Nagpur. According to the information received, 7 friends including Piyush had gone to Parshivani taluka’s Shrikshetra Ghogra Mahadev compound to celebrate a friend’s birthday party. They are all students of class 12, their result was recently declared.

In such a situation, all of them had planned to party together in the joy of a friend’s birthday and 12th pass. All of them left Nagpur around 6 am on Monday morning. I reached the Barai Samaj Talab (Chhota Goa) complex of the Parshivani complex around 7:30 pm After wandering around the campus, I reached the Shrikshetra Ghogra Mahadev campus on the banks of the Pench river around 9:30 am After visiting the Pench River complex here, they headed towards Chokhli Doh, located 300 meters from the Devasthan complex. Piyush and her two friends entered the water to bathe here. Suddenly, the three of them began to drown in the water.

Seeing this, other friends standing to the side took out 2 friends. But Piyush couldn’t get there after going into the deep water for a bit and Piyush drowned in the water in front of his friends. This event occurred around 10 in the morning. This information was immediately handed over to the Parshivani police. Tehsildar Hanumant Gajtap, Police Inspector Rahul Sonavane, Sub-Inspector Shivaji Mundhe, and employees of the police and revenue department arrived at the scene.

With the help of local fishermen, a great effort was made to find the body in the river, but to no avail. After this, he was called up to the NDRF team. Piyush’s body could not be found until around 5pm. The rescue operation was halted due to darkness. The Parshivani police reported the resumption of the search for the body on Tuesday morning.
