Al-Shabaab Terrorism in Somalia: In Africa, fighting has broken out between the hardline Islamic organization Al Shabab and Ugandan soldiers. Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has said that 54 of his soldiers have died as martyrs in the Al Shabaab attack. According to Yoweri, the attack was carried out at a military base in Somalia where Ugandan peacekeepers were stationed.
Ugandan President Yoweri said al-Shabaab fighters had attacked a military base in the early hours of Friday June 2 in Bulmarer, 130 km (80 miles) southwest of the Somali capital Mogadishu. The president said: “After that attack, our soldiers heroically fought against the terrorists and re-established control of the military base.”
Fighting by the Uganda People’s Defense Forces
Yoweri said the Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) retaliated by forcing the radical Islamic organization Al Shabaab to withdraw. Earlier, Museveni said last week that al Shabaab attacks had caused casualties in Uganda, but did not elaborate on the attack on soldiers who were sent to the African Union Transition Mission (ATMIS) in Somalia.
“I can confirm to the Ugandans that from now on, Al Shabab in #Somalia they will receive a bloody nose from the mighty #UPDF warriors We were invited, now here we are.

Al Shabaab carried out attacks in many countries
Al Shabaab has spread terror not only in Uganda, but also in many other African countries. In Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, Al Shabaab killed many Somalis. At the same time, Captain Abdullahi Mohammed, a military officer in Masagawa, said fighting raged for hours on the outskirts of the city. Mohammad said: “It makes me very sad to know that we have lost many of our soldiers so far, but I don’t have the exact number of those martyrs.” Al-Shabaab has been driven out and now we are chasing them in the jungle. .
Do you know where this dreaded organization came from?
We report that Al Shabaab is a feared organization formed on behalf of the Islamic government, which received training from the Taliban. In a statement, Al Shabaab said that they are waging Jihad. They have carried out suicide attacks in many places and have killed 137 soldiers. This organization wants to overthrow the Western-backed government of Somalia and implement Islamic rule there.
