Protesters belonging to the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) staged a sit-in in front of the Supreme Court on Monday. During this, the protesters fiercely attacked the Chief Justice, including Imran Khan. They protested with banners held by PDM workers involved in dharma. During this, the PDM workers raised slogans. Attacking the superior judge, the PDM protesters said that ‘the mother-in-law is not the law’.

the court is not mother-in-law

Last week, the head of the PDM, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, criticized the Supreme Court’s decision to declare Khan’s arrest illegal. He said that the higher judiciary is showing favoritism towards Imran Khan. During dharna on Monday, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the court should not be considered as a mother-in-law.

The ‘mother-in-law’ supporter of Bandial’s PTI?

It may be known that recently the audio clip of Mehjabeen Noon, mother-in-law of Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Rafia Tariq, wife of Imran Khan’s party lawyer Khwaja Tariq Rahim, went viral. After this audio went viral, there was a lot of discussion in the country about the closeness of the Bandial family with PTI. Teasing this point, Fazlur Rehman mentioned Bandiyal’s mother-in-law.

Maryam Nawaz also mocked

Earlier, Shehbaz government minister Maryam Nawaz mocked Bandial, saying that now court decisions are made based on the likes and dislikes of ‘wives’ and ‘mother-in-law’. Maryam had even called the Supreme Court ‘the mother-in-law’s court’. Significantly, the head of the PDM, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, had announced on Friday that he would protest the Supreme Court’s decision, in which Imran Khan was granted bail, calling his arrest illegal.
